Athletic development from the ground up
What qualities make an athlete elite?
Training like an athlete requires a disciplined approach and understanding of human movement. Working harder isn’t always the right answer… we must work smarter in our training.
The best athletes are elastic, fast, reactive and robust. They are those who can take training and translate it into sport & have a higher performance ceiling. They are rhythmic and fluid and understand their bodies. These are all skills and qualities that can be improved!
BOOM. Enter The Foundational Athlete (TFA)…
TFA was originally put in place to serve our former athletes who moved away to play professionally or collegiately. Hearing how little they were getting out of team trainings we decided to create this product.
What will you learn from TFA?
How to activate the arches in your feet, what pressurizing the system does for power output, leverage and how your body is a system of levers that can make movement more efficient
TFA is not a mix of random workouts. We aren’t throwing random stuff on the wall hoping that it’ll stick. This program has been completed by a wide range of athletes at all levels. We have made several iterations and advancements as we have grown and learned from pioneers in the field.
On this program you’l develop skills such as speed, strength, power, endurance, change of direction and locomotion.
We want this to be a lasting compliment for you to achieve your athletic feats. Whether it’s dunking for the first time, shaving a few tenths off of your 40 yard dash time or improving your rhythmic and coordination movement patterns… This program has you covered!
Below are a couple movements that you’d find in this program.
Hi there! Have some questions about our company? Find the answers below.
The Foundational Athlete is not a random mix of workouts. We organize our cycles strategically by creating theme days that develop your athleticism through progressive overload. We keep you fully aware of the WHY in whatever you're doing that day. Most importantly, this helps to educate you which to us is one of the most important things we can do 😊.
We use the seamless TrueCoach app to deliver training and communicate with our clients. TrueCoach will allow you to log current results and keep up with past results to see how far you’ve come, view instruction videos within the workout, provide comments and feedback on your workouts for your coach to see and message your coach
TFA is a group program, so if you are looking for an individual coach, we offer that separately. But if you are comfortable reading workouts and asking questions when you need to, you’ll have everything you need. Our coaches will answer questions within 24 hours typically & you can also upload a video if you need a form check on a specific movement.
We have seperate tracks depending on your available equipment. The Foundational Athlete (TFA) will require access to a gym, but we have a minimalist/bodyweight track that only requires bands and a preferred slant board that can be bought on Amazon.
It will be done automatically. If you decide this is not for you, no problem, just cancel before your subscription date is set to renew.
Yes! You can try TFA for FREE for one week – cancel any time, or leave it rolling and you’ll be billed at the end of your trial and monthly thereafter.
The minimalist track makes it easy to keep moving on the go – but if you need to miss workouts, no worries. All you need to do is scroll back to past workouts in TrueCoach or just stay with the program wherever we are and you’ll catch up in no time. You can also manage your subscription any time with no hassle.
If you have past nagging injuries, but are cleared to train, TFA gets your joints, tendons, and muscles stable and strong by developing motor control. Move with more quality and your body will thank you! Also, please feel free to message a coach any time if you have concerns about modifying a workout. We're always happy to help!
Absolutely not! We work with clients with many different backgrounds and goals. Some want to change their body composition, others compete in their respective sport, and others just want to feel good training and get their first pull up (and then another!). No matter what your interests are, your coach will design a plan for you to reach them.
